I flew with AA in September this year. You can buy a bottle of water at Perth Airport after you pass security and take it on board. You can also buy AA Food.
AA food was poor quality Asian food. I also took muesli bars and water onboard for some reliable sustenance.
A cup of Indonesian Nescafe coffee cost Rp 15,000. Mineral Water was Rp 12,000, Sandwiches and Hot Dogs cost Rp 21,000. Smoked Chicken Focacia cost Rp 27,000. A breakfast set consisting of scrambled eggs and chicken sausage cost Rp 27,000 as well. Cereal and milk cost Rp 18,000.
Jetstar has a better and more predictable food service than Air Asia.
Being an Indonesian aircraft, all transactions were in rupiah.
