Probably better to stay put in Novotel,especially since you have to move a child as well. Sanur is an easy 30 minute drive from the Novotel and there is limited shopping there. Lunch on the beach would be good at Sanur. Probably better to shop in Kuta, Legian or Seminyak - also an easy 30 to 40 minute drive away from Novotel.
