Agree with the money changer advice (Kodak Shop Next Door). Always offering upper end of exchange rate and always spot on with what is owed. No commisions or diddling here. The supermarket next door to money changers is brilliant. Cheapest around the area for most things. Bought lots and lots of stuff there. The beers are the same price for a warm carton as they are bought singularly cold. 10 000 for a Bintang, but if you buy the Kudi Putra (sounds something like that) beer in king browns it is 17 000, and is a really nice beer.

The Thai Express restaurant 200 metres to the left when walking out is a goodie, and you will get 10% of bill when staying at Dynasty with the South Kuta Passport that they will give you on arrival.

Across road and upstairs at Daddys restaurant is ever reliable for a good feed at good prices. 300metres to the right (when walking out) you will see a place called Mini Seafood (is a large place despite the name). This has got to be the best restaurant by far. If you have non-seafood type dishes, you will think they have made a mistake on the bill and forgot to charge for some stuff, but they haven't. Staff are the nicest people in the business.

if the two of them have a beer, always ask for a large and two glasses, will save you a small fortune on the restaurant bills over the time of the holiday.

If it is a cheap and cheerfull fill-up you are after, you cant go past the food hall at the Discovery Mall (top level). Ate there heaps too. A meal will set you back around 24000 rp. ($2.90 AUD)
