Let me paint you another possible scenario.
The young Aussie guy rents a bike and off he goes. After a week or so his holiday time is up and wants to return the motor bike. However because of party time and alcohol he can not remember from where he leased the motorbike.
No worries, he leaves the bike at his hotel. He gives the keys to the reception people and gives them the $35 for the weeks rental. Yes! All this is about $35.
He is happy, he has done his best. End of story. Or so he thinks!
