I can totally sympathise with your hubby. I love a Mercury cider myself and have tried every alternative in Bali but honestly the Bali Cider should not be alowed to be called cider at all; it's crap.
As there is no real cider to be found in Bali I usually drink Arak and a mixer but the last trip I took a 4 litre goon of red and gave the lads at customs $20 though I reckon $10 would've sealed the deal! I did try to explain that the four litres was to be spread amongst my wife and two children (1 litre each) but they laughed and said what age are children allowed to drink in Australia? Yes it's condoning corruption, but hey it's the Indonesian way. Just smile, have a laugh with them and pay what you reckon is fair.
