To do an International Money transfer from OZ to Bali is tricky. Yes, you need the SWIFT code, particularly if transferring online. If you do it through a branch in Oz, they will charge heaps for the transfer. The worst part is that despite your putting accurate destination bank details on your remittance, the money actually goes to an "approved" Indonesian bank first, then often transferred to a subsidiary bank or two, finally ending up in the receiver's account after a week or so. Needless to say, each middleman rakes off a commission too, so the total you send is not the same as your printer will get.
I would grill your bank in Oz to make sure that that explain exactly what is going to happen with your transfer. I never have problems like that in transferring money from Oz to Singapore, but Bali is a different story.
If you have a CBA account, you could maybe set up another account in Bali and transfer to that - which would avoid the round robin thing. Then pay the printer from the Bali account.
