Remember that for some years, Indonesia has been running an "anti corruption" drive with ministers actually appointed to oversee this.
Regretfully, it has had little visible or measureable effect.
And as far as the reference to "corrupt Government workers" goes, this unjustly denigrates the people providing this legal service, including bona fide Australian travel agents such as Creative Holidays, Qantas Travel etc.
Remember that this service is offered in many Western countries as well, but no one suggests that this is corrupt, so why do people continue to throw mud at this service and the people running it??
If you don't want to use the service (I am still undecided for next trip although I have used before), don't use it.....it's really not that hard.
