Never had a problem with the flag sticks at all, declared them at customs, they tapped them and looked at them...all good. Jetstar just check in as oversize luggage.There is nowhere to sleep at Darwin airport unless you can grab one of the round sofas...(you will see the ones I mean)...if you are flying in the day outbound to Bali, gran teh free shuttle to Darwin Resort and Hotel (is less than 1km froma irport) and grab some rest there.If your flight back is 11pm...as mine was... leave around 8.15pm..get to airport just before 9pm... wouldnt leave it any later...cheers
