Just got back from a week in Bali that went all too quickly.
Flew Air Asia and was quite impressed for a cheap fare (only paid $170per person inc baggage and hotseat). Flight was delayed by 1/2 hr out of Perth and 1 hr out of Bali, but no big deal. Meals purchased onboard fine for all of $3.
VOA on arrival very quick - was a bit anxious after reading about long queues, but even after arriving after a couple of other flights was through in less than 10 minutes. Longest wait was for our bags.
Stayed at the 3 bedroom private residence owned by Cicada Townhouses. Located in a small gang behind Grocer & Grind. Easy walk to Eat St. Very good price for 3 bedroom villa with pool. Very nicely furnished.
Only new place we tried was Biku for High Tea @ 65,000 per person. It was really beautiful. The Biku Cooler (iced tea) was fantastic.
Tuckshop, Grocer & Grind, La Luucciola & KDT for brekkies - all good. Rumours, Ultimos, JP's & Tues Night Pizza Club for dinners - also all good. Cafe Moka & Swell (Kuta) for lunches - still great.
Rate remained at 8600-8750 for our stay.
1 week is simply not long enough. Glad I am back in Feb for 2 weeks.
Thanks to all who answered my q's before I went.
