We've never had a problem booking direct with the Dynasty at all, we have just booked through their website and and paid in full once we've arrived. I'm amazed at the difference in price when booking through the Dynasty direct, and booking through a travel agent. We had to change a few details on our last booking, and it was no problem at all, we just emailed them at reservations@dynasty.com and they emailed back to confirm the changes.
We also confirmed our booking 3 weeks before, via email as well.
I would think your travel agent is just hoping you'll book with her for her commission!
