we bought the sarong at Gunuwan Setiawan just off Jl Cakra in Solo. Solo is a fantastic place for batik - far better quality and range than anywhere we have seen in Bali over the last 15 years. Not cheap though - we bought a set of the silk sarong and a scarf for AU$440. We also saw the factory and the production methods and when you see what goes into it you understand the price.
