for 3 weeks in September 2009. We loved it. Breakfasts are great....real fruit juice not cordial.....heaps of hot dishes to choose from, eggs any style. The staff were really lovely and helpful too.
The location is great and for the price it is really good value. We stayed in a cottage. We didn't have a shower curtain...but for a few dollars we just went and bought one. We also purchased a kettle for our room at a cost of $2.50. The air con worked magnificently, the room was cleaned well and smelled so fresh. The meals are great at the restaurent and very good prices too. Swim up bar...good prices too.
The rooms are a little tired....but will get you thru your stay. For the price that you pay...you can afford to buy a few bits and pieces and jazz it up a bit and still be way ahead of other room rates. Massage hut is also very good. Safes at reception to store any valuables. No hair dryer in rooms. Bottled water supplied daily. Crystal clear pool. We have just booked to stay there again for 3 weeks in April.
Very few children were there in September....however we don't have young children...so if you do, they may become bored around the pool.
Most nights movies are played on a big tv out near the pool. On Saturday nights they have live entertainment.
I have heard that the standard rooms are not so good. Our cttage room had a fluro light over the bed...so it was good to lay down and read....of 15 trips to Bali in various hotels, Bali Sani is the first hotel that I have stayed in that has good lighting for me to read books. The rooms are very traditional, compact yet spacious. I can't understand why so many people aren't fussed on this place.....have they ever actually stayed there? For many years we have stayed at the MBR which is only 50 metres walk from Bali Sani....we much prefer Bali SAni...staff are more happy. Happy hour is great too.
