After going via Penang & Bangkok we arrived in Bali on the 5th November for 11 nights.
Weather was humid compared to what we had experienced so far on our trip, but expected for this time of year.
Exchange rate stayed around 8600-8700 for the duration (and around 9300 for US Dollars if anyone interested).
Hired a car, after 14 visits to Bali, I was ready.
Just under $18 a day with insurance with US$300 excess organised through hotel.
First drive was to Uluwatu and our favourite 'secret' beach near Nusa Dua.
Second day drove to Candi Dasa then to Ubud for lunch and back via Sukuwati.
Used our Garmin and found alternate routes to our destinations so seen some great sights off the usual track.
Wouldnt hesitate to hire a car again - loved driving in Bali!!!!
Stayed at Adi Dharma (6th time)and although we loved staying there, its 'lost' that nice quiet atmosphere, so while here we searched for a new accomodation option for our next trip, we found it!!! And very excited to experience our fully self-contained 'appartment' (only 12 in total) complete with outside kitchen/dining/lounge area when we return in March, for a similar price to A/D.
Found the prices for most things same as previous trips, food in some places had gone up (but that happens everywhere and we are getting a good exchange rate, so works out the same in the end).

Usually my JBR's are full of information, but I feel somethings are best kept as 'secrets', Bali is at its busiest I have seen since the bombings and those 'quiet' out of the way places are getting harder to find, whilst sharing 'helpful' information is valuable for all of us on here, have a think about what you are actually sharing before posting it.
