There are a number of different types of arak. One brand is called De'Awa and is manufactured near Candi Dasa using the flower from the coconut tree. It is double distilled, filtered through four different types of sand and aged for one year. It is very strong at 40%. It is very nice with honey and lime. At the other end of the scale there is arak that I buy from my local bootlegger for 10,000rp. for 600ml. This can vary from batch to batch, I usually try to cellar it for at least two weeks!!! Nice with Coke.
Cheers.
