I was never able to access my bookings using my ID number in member log in, it always gave me the same message you got 'not authorised'. I gave up and in the end had to access my details through the 'manage my booking' and using the booking number and type in departure date. If that doesn't work then AA have a serious software problem. How else can a passenger keep track off their AA flights especially when they fail to notify passengers of cancelled and flight changes ... as that happened with us.
We met a young couple with 2 small children at our hotel in Penang. They couldn't get into their booking either. They simply had to turn up at LCCT and hope that their flight hadn't been cancelled or delayed.
