We have done the KL-Bali last year and I really think even with hand luggage you will find it a dash, there is fair sprint to the checkin from the arrivals, a couple of weeks ago we came in fron Coolangatta with a 8.30pm flight to Penang booked, we were on time so shot across to the Penang checkin to see if we could get on the 5,30pm flight, only to be told it had closed and that was an hour before deoarture.
Our hold up was in the immigration and custom line up, looked like a couple of planes were before us, keeping in mind KL is the hub for most SE Asia with flights to and from all and sundry.
