I have stayed at the White Rose several times and like it, the best thing being the location for nightlife but it is still quiet as it is back from the road. If you like Kuta it is right in the heart of things. They have a nice pool area and rooms are apparently being renovated. I always find the staff to be very friendly. If you have *young* children, it would not be my first choice. For older children I would stay there.
