You can get 3,000,000 rupiah at a time at Bank Commonwealth ATM's, but last time I used one (and it doesnt happen often), you can do a second and third transaction, possibly we even did a 4th..as we were withdrawing money from a charity account and needed 10 mil, and managed to withdraw it all at the same ATM, same visit.
I do however agree, take your cash with you and put it in a safety deposit box, and just carry what you require for the day. Its the easiest and cheapest way.
