Budget x amount per day. Take the cash with you. Most hotels will have a safe deposit box so take the cash and leave it in the box to save on fees. ATM's are different to here. Here after you do your transaction the card pops out and you get the money and the transaction is over. In Bali the transaction happens and you can and it does happen leave your card in the ATM and the account is open. You walk away and then your account will lose whatever your limit is. Unless they have changed the system that is how it works.

As you are young the Bounty is a good place for you it has a 24 hour bar. Dam Expensive so be careful. It is + + when you buy something so a Bintang could cost you $38000 Rupiah compared to 11000 on the street.

Jimbiran Bay is overrated, same sunset anywhere and there are better restaurants all along the beach. You have to go because its mentioned but I would suggest look elsewhere. Sea-view Cottages in Kuta is fine as you can sit upstairs and get the same view, no sand and better food. Then you have Papa's up further. Expensive but nice. There are plenty of cheap eats in Poppies 1 and 2 in Kuta and the food is great, I think they have been watching Master Chef. Been blown away by the presentation lately. Try the locals as you can eat Western anytime you will be pleasantly surprised.

Most of all respect the locals and their customs. Enjoy your time it's a great place.
