mmmmm...... I have a 2 story home, with the hight of the concrete wall surrounding my entire house more than 2 metres tall, the front gate is electric and has barbed wire at the top, the front door is bolted with a steel bar from the inside, the side garage door into the kitchen is double dead locked and steel re-inforced around the edge of the door, the garrage where this door is located, has a steel roller door. I have good friends to one side,a political house on the other side, and I have a big police boss accross the road.... Behind is some other people from Singapore. The concrete wall goes around the back of the house.... I also have key locked doors to all the bedrooms in the house and steel bars on the windows.. "made it easy to get robbed??? I wouldnt have thought so.. Now some how they have scaled the back wall, climbed up the walls (spiderman maybe?) smashed all the windows to the lounge upstairs, then, realizing they cant get in there, climbed down and smashed the wooden slated airvents (you know the ones that have 2 cm apart wodden bits to let the air in) there was just enough room once they were broken for a child or small teenager to get in, and they smashed the back door open to let their friends in. They smashed every door in the house, emptied every drawer, and took my computer which I had braketed to the wall, our playstation that was put in the drawer under the tv, and my sons school bag which was hanging on the back of his door with his ipod in it... All while my husband was only gone for dinner.. Yes common sense is needed, It does not matter where you are, or how "hard" you make it for these people to rob you, if they want to, they are going to do it..
