booking direct

well i have taken the plunge i have booked direct with flights and now with hotel 1 through agoda which i paid for via visa debit card the other hotel i booked direct with no payment till i arrive IS this common with bali hotels a little nervous about arriving and no accommodation available staying kuta beach club.
