I stayed there when it was Contiki, but the layout is the same as far as I've heard (just upgraded the rooms). I'll try my best to explain the building etc, hopefully I don't confuse things.

The main foyer is all open air and once you walk through it past the front counter, you are directly in front of the pool bar. The Pool is tiered, from memory this part of the pool has 3 different 'layers', which flow into each other. You should be able to see this in some photos somewhere actually. The pool kind of moseys down the center of the hotel, with all the buildings all the way around it. Bit of an "L" shape I suppose, with a bridge crossing over the middle. Also (If it hasn't been changed), the lower part of the pool further from the entrance is surrounded by sand to create a beach, and the same even continues to a certain point in the pool. Very nice touch. There are sun lounges on the sand, and gazebo type structures with more shade around.

The hotel rooms, as I said go around the pool. From my understanding of how the rooms work, standard rooms are from the first floor up. So, going on this, the advantage of getting a nicer room is that you have direct access to the pool because you'd be on the ground level. I stayed in the 'deluxe pool view' room when it was Contiki, I don't know if they still have this option. We were near the sand beach though, and it was a little bit further to get to the important areas, ie- pool bar, front counter etc... All the ground floor rooms have personal sun loungers though, which is nice.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you want anymore info, and hopefully I have given you up-to-date (sorry if it really has changed a lot).
