this happened to, I wouldnt hesitate to put up the name on here and every other forum. Not that I think it would get the bike back but would maybe get around to someone who knew them?? If I could afford it I would also pay off his debt. I too have known my friend for many years and I would trust him with everything I have, same as my friends back in Oz. Maybe it is time to mention just a few of the negatives on the other side - like how many times guests ring and book a driver to pick them up for day trip etc, some drivers rent their car (others still paying them off) they get up early and put on their smart clothes, maybe drive for almost an hour to get to hotel only to be told that the guest has a hang over/ ill/changed their mind etc and not going on trip now but maybe tomorrow? the driver has already turned down work for this day expecting to be busy and now has nothing and may get nothing else all week? another scenario, is the guests who knock down the price as low as poss, then want to be taken from one end of Bali to the other and then back again and think the day rate covers 24 hours!!! The list goes on but what amazes me is how they keep their cool and just smile, shrug their shoulders and get on with it.. just maybe the doubting Thomas's on here aren't lucky enough to have good Balinese friends like ours, we have many, who i know are genuine good people who want the best for the guests and hope they are happy enough to keep returning to Bali! Good on you for caring about your friend and help him where you can...
