Don't be put off by the cr*p that happens on here, after all "sticks and stones" and all that.
Have a look at some of the day tour stuff on here, bike tours, rafting etc.
Also Waterbom is popular, but there is no indication of ages or likes/dislikes so hard to help.
Most of all - relax, don't stress keep your sense of humour, and enjoy.
