... by December. It's certainly barely habitable now with major construction still going on, concrete dust everywhere, rooms being allocated while unfinished. The airco is evaporative and rooms well away from the central plant (ie those on the sea side) getting barely a trickle of cool air. Staff are great, but the developers have jumped the gun with the opening.
There was a cloud over staffing too - previous staff were apparently offered positions in the new hotel, then management allegedly reneged, so there is an industrial dispute too. Also the place is open apparently without an operating permit.
With any luck these teething problems will be fixed before you arrive - but worth checking say 2 weeks before you are due.
My friend checked in last week and checked out a day later. Given the circumstances, Wotif refunded her money and waived the cancellation fee.
