not up to what you are probably used to but it has improved substantially over the years. Some of the internet cafes are painfully slow but if you are taking your own laptop you'll find access to heaps of free wi-fi in hotels, restaurants etc. but some areas are prone to "drop outs" especially after heavy rains....Russ
