Well after a school trip to Bali in the late 80's, then a trip with my wife in the late 90's - I'm now heading off on a family trip with 3 boys 5-9yrs old next Sunday!!! Will definitely have to try and get there more than once a decade in the future!
I have been searching and reading many posts here to help prepare...and noticed that many people are happy to email lists (restaurants, tips, things to do, price lists <current> etc etc) to assist people heading over there....and would welcome any such contributions (email included).
Also - recommendations for drivers with a Tarago or similar (van with belts) to carry 6 people and luggage (mother-in-law too - that's person not luggage!). Staying in the Tuban area in a Villa. I would like to pre-arrange an airport pickup (and later return) and have a driver to contact once there to do Denpasar, Ubud, Tanah Lot, Sanur etc runs....
Can't wait to get back, refresh the Indo. language and most importantly let the kids have their first taste of another culture.
