I have stayed in both deluxe and standard. Both rooms are exactly the same, they just face different directions. There used to be a nightclub across the road and the road side rooms had that going on most of the night. That's not the case anymore. I stayed road side in about 37???? in May this year and didn't have any trouble sleeping.
I found it was good to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by.
I didn't see any reno'd rooms in May, but some have been done, and I can't recall who on here posted pics of them. Someone did, I also think there were some pics on trip advisor. So go have a look around that site for reno'd pics.
