Yes you can walk from your hotel however it could be a long walk when its hot. Two ways to do your walking, you could walk along the beach path and it would take you 15-20 minutes wear a hat, or you could go up Kartika Plaza Road which is the long way and it would take you around 30-40 minutes and lots of pit stops for drinks.
Use the beach path as its a very nice early morning walk, do take a bottle of water with you, however I think a taxi would be better if you don't feel like walking, cost around 10,000 rupiah about $1.20.

Tanah Lot is best to go with a driver and not by taxi, there are no waitig taxi to take you home, should only take you about 1.10 minutes to get there from your hotel. One other thing if you want a blessing at the temple in tanah lot check tide before you go as you won't be able to cross if its high tide. Blessing is a donation only.

I don't do S&S in Bali so can't help you with this one.

Remember when you are in Bali you are using and paying for things in Rupiah not Australian, some friends of our couldn't get past this when we were last there, kept saying things were expensive.

Most taxi rides are cheap, only use Light Blue ones, the most I have ever paid for a fare has been 49,000 which is only $6.10 Aus.

Cash a $100.00 dollar note at a time, multiply by the exchange rate and you will have no problem doing it this way. Watch out for the 000 some will try and cheat you.
If a rate for the day is 8300 X 100aus equals 830,000 not 803,000, some try and if you not on the ball, you will get caught.

I will be back in Bali on the 3rd Nov for 15 nights myself again and looking forward to relaxing this trip.

All the best.
Cheers Hilton
