would do well on formula but a problem in remote areas where people do not use formula is that they don't sterilise the bottles properly, or the teats. The babies get sick.Breast is best and encouraged but if there was a person to supervise and educate in the use of formula for babes whose mums are unable to feed then formula would be fine.
