Hope you have a great time. If you are looking for surf while you are in Padang Bai take a drive up the coast to Jeseri, its just before the water palace, lovely quiet spot but only works in wet season when there are big swells. You will like Kuta Lombok and there is always a great crew of surfers staying there. You will need transport though as the surf is quite a long way from Kuta, probably best to take a car or you can hire bikes from the locals. Absolutly fantastic restaurant on top of the hill called Astari, only open for breakfast and lunch but great, you need a car though to get there or a lift, its a bit of a walk.
We leave for our next trip on 28th january and are spending 2 weeks in Bali and then we travel to Vietnam and spend 17 days travelling through Vietnam, Can't wait.
And we have booked a trip for June, shopping trip as we have just put in a pool!
