block up your system JUST IN CASE you get a mild tummy rumble then do so, but don't give any preventatives to a 7 year old. Keep all your hands clean, follow good sanitation and if you do get a case of the 'runs' let it run it's course for a day. keep fluid intake up and 99% of the time it will all have passed.
Only give children medicine IF they need it, not to maybe stop something.
