has necessailly finished their meal and there is nothing worse than getting smoke in your face while you are trying to eat. Most people would not ask you to put it out as they would also consider that to be rude.
I think its important that you always consider those around you when you smoke and make sure its not blowing into other people's faces. I think thats just courtesy.
I'm a social smoker myself so not trying to bag smokers - just again -being aware of others and how your actions effect them.
