Just got back from 8 days at the Breezes Resort in Seminyak ( sept 11 - 19 ). Stayed with 5 other girls from Perth & had a fantastic time shopping , eating and all the good things Bali has to offer. Was very impressed with Breezes Resort from the start. We arrived late at night (1145pm) after spending an hour and a half getting through immigration with only 3 lanes open. When we arrived at the hotel a friend found she had accidently picked up the wrong suitcase and the hotel actually sent one of it's porters back to the airport with us to explain the situation & we dropped the suitcase of to its rightful owner. The staff are brilliant always greeting you with a big smile and nothing is too much trouble. We drank our own drinks around the pool and they even gave us ice.
The pool & grounds are immaculate and it has a classy feel. The spa prices appear to have gone up, after checking the website a few weeks ago and expecting to pay around 200,000 I was hit with a bill for 330,000 for a 1 hour massage - my mistake for not double checking !
The only downside was the ' taxi mafia' outside the front who refuse to turn on their meters after a certain time of night.
We enjoyed walking along the beach path into Legian to shop & getting a taxi back later.Just a warning the main road in Seminyak is having new footpaths & is full of large holes! Exchange rate was good - between 8200 & 8500 to aussie dollar ( at the reputable money changers ).
Had some great meals at Ultimo, Kori, tJ's , Gateway to India, Mozzerella, & found Wine Of the Gods wine is freely available , the chardonnay isn't too bad and tastes like chenin blanc .
We all did the Baik Baik ride which was a great day out and a good way to see the countryside. The meal afterwards at Wayan's family compound was delicious.
We're all counting down to the next trip.
