I've not actually ever been there on Christmas Day but have been there for New Years Eve and had a ball. Very busy time of the year, yes its rainy season,but that usually does little to dampen spirits.
Remember, it is not Bali's Christmas time so its pretty much business as usual, some hotels will have on Christmas lunches, they do like to acknowledge Xmas for the sake of their tourists.
