Jetstar flight SYD/ DARW/Denpasar

I need some information re luggage as we are leaving from Sydney and arriving at Darwin and connecting to flight to Bali.
Do we need to pick up luggage at Darwin and check in for flight to Bali? or does it automaticallu get put onto plane
