If you go to Matahari on the ground floor there are geckos/crocodiles made of beads, I am a teacher and know that the kids at school like these as I have one on my key lanyard and one on my 'puter bag and students always feel them and admire them. HOWEVER - given that you are a teacher why not donate the funds for 20(!) presents to the local school near where you are staying on behalf of your students and set up a relationship between the two schools? Most Oz kids are way too affluent to appreciate a tacky Bali gift- how about getting your kids to put together a present box to a Bali school that you could drop off while you are in Bali? Textbooks, pens, soaps, CDs etc would help those kids more than you bringing back mass-produced tack.
