Stupid question re- champange

We are finally going to Mozaic in Ubud for dinner and I would like to take a couple of nice wines from home including a bottle of champage I have saved for "special". Is it safe to put the champagne in my luggage in the hold? Will it pop? Is it dangerous? Will I have Moet through my clothes??! I have a feeling this may be stupid question, but whatever...
