I'm currently in hospital getting treated for some injuries following a motorbike accident.
A Balinese friend of mine mentioned that the cream they use to treat these wounds in hospital (Kalmicetine Chloramphenicol for the body and Gentamicin for the face)are designed for quick healing but often result in permanent darkening of the skin in the affected area. He even suggested that I should go back to Australia once I get out of hospital to get treatment for it (in the form of some other type of cream, I think!)
I have googled both creams but can find no mention of it causing permanent damage to the skin.
Does anyone know anything about this?!
