The Jayakarta has always seemed to get mixed reviews, people either love it or hate it.
We are staying there next week, so I guess I will find out for myself, although when I have visited family there I thought it was fine, and I have family who stay there every year.
We also stayed at Melasti Beach last time and the two seemed quite comparable. We would rarely buy food or drink from the resosrt anyway as it is always cheaper outside of the motel.
