by their product. There are other ways of establishing the quality of accommodation other than actually staying their yourself. Though, in saying that, the most successful TAs are the ones who do know a lot about their product and the BTF's resident TA seems to do so well for people because she travels to Bali a lot herself both for personal reasons and on industry sponsored educationals. And, for the record, I have never known a good hotel to become the pit of evil in two weeks.
