Just back from my second trip to Bali with Hubby.
Did lots of shopping for kids and grandkids.Such great value.Iam lucky to have made friends with a seller in Melasti Street Markets where I get such good prices.Apart from shopping we went to Bali Safari Park. The price now $35us but we enjoyed it. The elephant ate my whole bunch of carrots before hubby got a shot.I was to scared to have my photo taken the lion and tiger so hubby got two. A great photo for the Grandkids.
we went for a couple of days to Lovina and went out at 6am the next morning to go dolphin watching only 60 000Rp each. We stayed Sea Breeze Resort right on the beach for only 300 000Rp per night for room at the front with four poster bed and a/c. We went to the hot springs near Lovina and loved it. We came back via Kintamani. Our driver took us along a narrow road not usually used by tourists and way narrow for buses. Incredible views but as we got near to Kintamani the clouds came over and we had a few drops of rain.I am told that this is unusual for June.
We returned to our accommodation near Nusa Dua. We were lucky to find a place on Ebay, we were a bit hesitant to book but it worked out well a lovely house with sparkling pool. The Balinese Family who have been looking after us were there to welcome us back.
After checking the weight of our cases we still had space so off again to snare some more bargins.I had to make sure hubby got the carving he had his eye on. He liked the one with the roster under the basket, apparently they are hard to get now and at 500 000Rp an absolute bargin.
Back home and ready to book our next trip.
