If you are looking to stay at Legian with your kids, I would stay in one of the apartments at the Jayakarta for around $80/night. The Melasti has nice rooms, but I reckon that the pools aren't as good, and has some safety issues with the pools (broken tiles, dodgy bridge etc). We are heading over again in 3 weeks with our 4 & 6 year old's and will again be staying in a private apartments. I don't know the Lokkah that well.
