Returned to Melbourne last Sunday. Had 2 and a half weeks at Suriwathi with two other couples. Had a really great time. Suriwathi busy building new rooms around from Room 16. The 2 bedroom villa's look finished with only one being used at present-apparently a electricity problem. ?supply. When you look up at the wiring in the street its amazing there are not more blackouts! Didn't have any this time.
Excahnge rate about 8000 which was good.
Jetstar both ways on time - no problems.
A good spot to base yourself as there are lots of good resturants about and cheap taxi rides to carrifofore, Seminyak, Kuta.
Casey spa down a lane near 14 Roses in Malasti St. really good prices and nice staff. Also Carla's good in Malasti St.
Kutut's fixed price once again a good place to start. She's lovely and there's no pressure and can always uncover things there to buy that at first glance dont look like they have.
Hi to Desak at Breeze from : "Johnny be Good" and Kathy, Trevor and Kaye, Jeff and Kayelene. Thanks for all the great meals and good fun. Keep those fruit tingle cocktails going so we can enjoy them again next year.
Lots of really good meals at Breeze, Billy's, Jutz, Uncle Norms, Legends, Sheppi's, Un's (service slow). Celcius(back of Department Store at Centro. had the best coffee)
A couple of trips to La Luchiola's for brunch. Beautiful presentation and food in a lovely setting and walked back along the beach on one occasion (1 hour)
Did the Safari Park and enjoyed the day. Have previously done quite a few day trips so didn't bother too much this time.
Other couple did the Baik tour (we did last year) bike ride down hills-lovely day. They also did the Taro Elephant Park - another good day.
Spent a lovely day at Hard Rock-hired a cabana for 140000 and 100000 each-well worth it and could come and go to Kuta Square as we liked.
Had friends staying at Sunur so spent the day with them at Paneeda-nice spot, much quieter right on the beach.
Had suits made at Janako (Poppies 11) about $48 each and great. Leather jacket at Ramadan (Poppies 11) about $108 all good.
The forum was once a great recourse so thanks everyone for your imput.
Every time we go to Bali (first time 25 years ago) there's always things that are better. eg. quality of the resturants and food-so many choises!!
Anyway hope those heading off soon have a lovely holiday. ENJOY.
