Which rooms did you look at?? The ones around the donut shaped pool are only a few years old. didn't see anything wrong with them. It is a 3 star hotel. The older pool area could do with a renovation, but our kids certainly enjoyed jumping off the bridge all day and floating around on their pool noodles.
We prefer the Old suite cottage rooms which are closer to the beach as there is heaps of room for 2 adults and 2 kids.
