Both can be bad. One night in Sanur last week we were walking down to the corner of Jl. Danau Tamblingan where all the taksis and bemos are parked. The taksi drivers were playing chess, wanted 50,000 rp to take us to Ron's place which isn't too far but we were feeling lazy. We said no way it is only 5,000 by the meter. They told us to walk. We walked back a bit and got a cab.
