Patong Beach Resort. Location wise it was perfect, close to the famous nightlife. The weather however in June is horrible, well to me it was. Extremely hot and humid and completely unbearable. I can climatise to the bali weather within hours, after 11 days in Phuket I was still hot and bothered and couldn't wait to leave.
We found it far more expensive than Bali in things we purchased at the markets, but in defense of that the quality is better.
All in all, we decided that we prefer Bali to Phuket. Everyone has their own preference and we spoke to many in Phuket who actually preferred being there than holidaying in Bali. Rock on October is all I can say, just a quick visit to get our Bali fix for the year
