yep , ill have a crack at answering your question as i got back from Bali yesterday after "enjoying" 17 fun filled days of the incompetant Inna Kuta staff and their equally "tradsemen".
To begin Im no Bali first timer , i've stayed at the Dewi Sri , Barong, MBR, Mattahari Bungalows, Pelangi, Dynasty and the Patra Jasa.
I'll start with the good things about the Inna ....well the location is worthy of its 4 stars and although the pool is well worn its a good size ....yep thats about it ....
Bad things....well they claim they are 4 stars so why are they charging 4 star prices when at the moment half the place is being rebuilt , we were staying on the 3rd floor and half of its draped in canvas sheets while behind it the slaves are smashing concrete from 7am to 10pm every night ...
Mind you the staff are continually sweeping the dust and crap from outside your hotel door while the aircon mechanic does his daily "service" on your room aircon unit as it battles to work in a dust storm........
While inside your bathroom its continally invaded with the wafting odour of the guy downstairs who should really get his own internal plumbing checked when he gets home....
When you call Basil Fawlty on reception he sends around not some qualified "plumber" to inspect the problem but depatches some poor Putu with a can of room deoderiser...yep that will work ....NOT!
Breakfast.....well for 4 stars i'd rate their breakfast as one of the worst ive had. Just crap quality , poor service and no variety. Halfway thru our stay they decided to start digging up half the dining room where once again the dopes put up a tarp while they work from 7am to 10pm with picks and shovels and the odd grinder....
Would I ever stay at the 4 Star Inna again ???????
Ahhh --not while they are charging top dollar , doing renos, providing poor breakfasts and employing Basil Fawlty and friends ...
...you carnt beat the location but there are plenty of resorts in the vicinity that i'm sure would be more than a match for the Inna Clots !
