We were there at the same time as you but staying at BGH and I think we saw that rat. We were talking to the security guard outside KUTA PARADISO and saw a rat run into the garden. Well I said "what was that" and not missing a trick he came back with "Oh that is a secrete indian rat". In other words I can't get rid of it because it is secrete and I also can't be bothered. Also what I love about Bali people is they can put a good spin on anything. You just have to love them.
