Ok bit of a long story but here it goes.
going to bali in august with the family, emailed Santika direct for rate and they gave great rate for returning customer etc etc, 2 rooms everything included...so all agreed and confirmed via email.
Then an email comes thru from hotel saying you have double booking.
I replied with no i dont and havent booked with anyone else, maybe made and enquiry in the last few months with company on internet for prices??? Otherwise I have no idea of who other booking is with...
I ask santika to provide me details of company with our other booking??? and i will email them and cancel.
So santika provede details of company and i email them to say. please provide details of booking you have in our name - like dates, cost etc.
Balihotels reply and treat email like booking and confirm cost, etc.
I email back to balihotels and say "no" we need to cancel our booking with you???
Balihotels then reply back and say " why you want to canel with us"?
I reply that i dont recall booking with them and i have already made my booking direct with hotel.
Balihotels then ask what rate you getting? I emailed back and told them the rate and finished email with thank you for your offer of your rate but no thanks and thought this was the end of all this.
Well the Santika sends me and email on Monday saying that I have done the wrong thing by disclosing thier rate to me to a third party and have made things tense between Balihotels and Santika, they have a contract together!!!
Then they said that they were giving me good rate and should not have told anyone. For doing this they put my rate up $25usd per night!!
Well you can imagine my reaction??? WTF!!??? where did this all come from???
I replied and told Santika that they are at fault themselves, as they were doing something wrong?? and they were stupid enough to give me Balihotels contact?? to cancel booking, didnt they realise.?
My husband reckons it was a scam to increase our rate...But it gets better!!!!
Yesterday after my firm emails back to them explaining that they are incorrect and i now think there was never another booking they are bad for what they have done to us. We have a few of us staying and our booking is worth $10,000.00aussie.
Then last night santika emails and said they hope we can repair ur relationship and i can have original rate back and they are sorry...
Then 20min after that emial comes thru Balihotels email me and offer rate cheaper again than santika!!!! WHAT THE???
I have replied back yet and am now thinking do i not stay out of principle!!!! crazy games!!!! what are your thoughts (long winded sorry!!!)
